Very particular and rare earthenware cake stand in red transferware over painted-by-hand in black, recalling an "Indian" decoration. As a matter of fact, the pattern is one of the earliest Fielding "Indian" decor made by the S.F. & Co. in 1880.
The stand has a charming fluted curved edge.
Not in perfect condition. On the decorated side of the plate there is an hairline crack which appears clear due to a small restoration on the backside.
